RECAP: 1/2-1/3 Conflict at Cleveland - New Mexico

Over New Years, we had 10 Varsity boys & 9 Varsity girls travel to a national tournament in New Mexico. The brackets were big, and the competition bigger! CV showed up and wrestled hard, walking away with 5 total placers - 3 girls, and 2 boys!

For our boys - Jacob Ness brought home 3rd place, and Karter Lawson brought home 8th place!

For our girls - Zaret Silva Lopez & Mimi Mendoza both brought home 2nd place! They also got custom singlets to wear during their finals match. BellaRay Fiske brought home 8th place!

This was excellent competition for all of our wrestlers to prepare for Regionals - these types of matches are exactly what the team needs to keep improving & keep closing that gap! Great work this weekend, to everyone!

Boys Team - 

106 - Kash Lawson went 0-2, DNP.

113 - Karter Lawson went 4-3, taking home 8th place, with 3 pins & 1 tech fall!

120 - Easton Scaffidi went 1-2, DNP, with 1 pin.

126 - Jacob Ness went 7-1, taking home 3rd place, with 2 pins & 2 tech falls!

132 - Lincoln Scaffidi went 2-2, DNP.

144 - Caleb Crabtree went 0-2, DNP.

150 - Kaden Kopp went 0-2, DNP.

157 - Carter Henman went 5-2, DNP with 2 pins - but was only 1 match away from placing! This was his first tournament back for the season since recovering from an injury.

165 - Joseph Arons went 0-2, DNP.
